DARK CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE GANACHE

Ingredients



  Ø FOR BAKING CAKE :

   Ø FOR MAKING CHOCOLATE GANACHE:

Dark Chocolate
125 gm

Full Cream

Method:


1.     Sift together Plain Flour and butter/oil with your hands until it turns into a nice and creamy mixture.
2.      Now add baking powder, salt, sugar, cocoa powder, chocolate powder and cocoa to it. Give it a good mix.
3.     Take a separate bowl. Whisk the eggs so that it turns into a nice foamy texture and add milk into it. Then add vanilla essence which helps neutralize the smell of egg.
4.      Pour this into the flour bowl and stir it continuously until all the lumps are removed. Remember not to overdo the stirring part; otherwise your cake will become very dry.
5.     You can even add raisins, almonds, walnuts etc… as per your taste.
6.     Blend it properly till it becomes a nice and homogeneous batter. The consistency should not be very thick or very thin.
7.     Grease a 15 cm by 15 cm square/round cake tin with some butter and place a butter paper on the base and add the batter.
8.     Preheat your oven or microwave at 180 degree Celsius or 356 degree Fahrenheit. This will help your cake to rise. Then cook it for around 20-25 minutes in oven or another option is cook in the microwave for 5 minutes. To check whether it’s done or not, put a toothpick inside it. If nothing sticks on it, then your cake is ready.

9.     Now for the Chocolate Ganache :
·        Use a double boiler and melt the dark unsweetened chocolate in it. Add butter and cream to give it a nice and smooth texture. It should have a flowy consistency.
·         Cut your cake into two equal halves horizontally. Now using a round shaped tablespoon. Spread the mixture on the first half evenly. Then place the second part of the cake on it and now spread the rest of the mixture on the top part. Garnish it with gems, Chocolate Almonds or white sweetened cream. Refrigerate for half an hour. Serve chill.
