VEGETABLE MANCHURIAN

Ingredients

For Chili Sauce:

Method:

1. First of all, prepare Chili sauce:

ü  For this, put some fresh red chilies, garlic cloves, oil, salt, tomato sauce in a mixer.
ü  Grind it for a while until it is half crushed.
ü  Now add a little bit of water (you can even add the water in which you soaked chilies) and churn it again till it become nice and spicy!!!

2. Take a cutting board. Finely chop cabbage, onion, capsicum and spring onion. Shred two carrots. Put this all in a big bowl. Add salt, red chili powder and white pepper, give it a good mix.

3. Keep one third of this mixture aside, you would need it for gravy. Also, chop 3-4 cloves of garlic.

3. Now add plain flour to the rest of mixture in a bowl, gradually until all the chopped vegetables are bind together and all the water of the vegetables is almost soaked in. When this stage comes, the mixture will stop sticking on your hands. Approximately you would need at least half a bowl of Plain flour, so add accordingly.  

4. Apply oil on your hands. Make medium sized balls of this mixture and keep it aside. Take the help of fresh plain flour if it sticks too much on your hand.

5. Heat a generous amount of oil in a pan. When the oil is hot enough fry the balls until light golden brown.

6. Now take a pan and add 2 tablespoon of oil. Toss previously chopped fresh garlic and rest of the vegetables that we had kept aside (one-third of the slot). Cook it for around 5 minutes until the vegetables become soft and tender. Next, add One Liters of water and pour the contents of Knorr Chinese Manchurian packet and give it a good mix. The KNORR CHINESE MANCHURIAN is easily available at any grocery store. It forms the base of your gravy.

7. When the water starts to boil, add 3 teaspoons of chili sauce prepared before and add your fried Manchurian balls. Cook it for 2-3 minutes and garnish it with spring onions.
